Klamath Women's Soccer to Officially Join NWAC in 2026

KLAMATH FALLS, OR — NWAC is pleased to announce that the executive board has approved the Klamath Community College (KCC) Badgers to compete fall quarter 2026 in women's soccer.

This past year KCC men's soccer team competed in the NWAC and the college has shown a genuine commitment in adding sports to their college and community.  They executed quite well part one of their plan in adding men's soccer and are now finishing up that same plan with the addition of women's soccer.  Both teams will compete in soccer in the south region.  NWAC would like to thank Dr. Roberto Guitterez, Oscar Herrera, Lupe Sanchez, Devyn Horne, Gail Schull, and community for their efforts to provide great experiences for the KCC student athletes.

The Northwest Athletic Conference is the governing body for 36 community colleges located in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. There are 15 men's and women's sports and 10 championship events.  Approximately 4,200 student-athletes compete in the NWAC representing a student population of over 400,000. Many NWAC student-athletes continue their academic and athletic careers at the NAIA-NCAA levels. The NWAC promotes the three ideals of Character, Competition, and Community. KCC will initially play against teams in the southern region of the conference.
