Titans Remain Unbeaten with 79-58 Victory Over Bellevue
PASCO, Wash. - The defending champion Lane Titans (30-0) secured a 79-58 victory over Bellevue (17-13) in game three of the 2025 NWAC Women's Basketball Championship presented by Golf Universe, on Wednesday at Columbia Basin College. With this win, Lane remains undefeated on the season and has extended their winning streak to an impressive 43-straight games.
The Titans saw standout performances from several key players. Lillee Duffin dominated the boards, securing 24 rebounds, including 8 offensive rebounds, and added 8 points to her stat line. Duffin's rebound total was just two short of the tournament record 26, set by Lane's Mercedes Alexander in 2007. Micah Wicks led the team in scoring with 14 points, hitting 4 of 12 from the field and a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line, while also contributing 2 steals. Alessa Soto was efficient, scoring 13 points with a 5 for 6 shooting performance and leading the team with 4 assists and 2 steals. Kya Kanoho made a significant impact from beyond the arc, sinking 3 of 4 three-point attempts to total 12 points.
The Titans edged Bellevue 17-15 in the first quarter. The Bulldogs finished the quarter on a 13-2 run after Lane led 15-2 through the first seven minutes. The Titans responded and dominated the second quarter with a 22-6 run against Bellevue. Their offensive efforts were bolstered by their 8-for-23 shooting, including three 3-pointers, and a strong presence in the paint with eight points. The Titans excelled in ball control with six assists and zero turnovers while forcing Bellevue into five turnovers. Their defense was also stout, securing 16 total rebounds compared to Bellevue's seven.
In the third quarter, the Titans maintained a strong lead over Bellevue, finishing with a 56-43 advantage.
They went onto secure a 79-58 victory over the Bulldogs, led by efficient shooting and strong rebounding. They shot eight-for-15 from the floor in the fourth quarter, including three-for-six from beyond the arc, while holding Bellevue to 6-for-20 shooting.
Lily Auelua and Devynn Warns led the team with 13 points each. Myana Calloway added 12 points with seven rebounds and Aysha Peter had 11 points and nine boards. Ghadir Ramadan was a key player on the boards, securing nine rebounds, and added four points and one block to her stat line.
The Titans once again advance into the Elite 8, where they will take on the West No. 3 seed Green River on Thursday at 4 p.m.
